Mar. 16th, 2010 07:58 pmI am less maudlin today! IDK. Sometimes it's easier to deal with "the best way to get an AU where Kevin is the most important and Joe and Nick are just his goldfish is to play Sims" (that is also the only way to get an AU where Pete Wentz is Kevin's grandson, so.)
I didn't actually expect to really like any of TYV's stuff; "Change" is good, but mostly had me assuming this'd be the kind of band I wouldn't listen to at all if I didn't know who they were. BUT I am actually really enjoying it? Which means I'm no longer just a little bummed that their show in Mass. is a no-go for me, but totally heartbroken. WHATEV.
JUSTIN BIEBER IS COMING TO VT ugh that makes me SO UNREASONABLY HAPPY. I think I'm going to find out if my 7-year-old niece is a Bieber person, because I'm not sure I'm creepy enough to go alone (this is a lie, I am totally creepy enough). ALL MY SUNDAY SCHOOL KIDS WILL BE SO JELUS.

anythingdisney less than I like being up on all the ~newz, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna take it off my watch list for a while. I am seeing indications that the misogynist bullshit that gets spouted there about Demi is, at least for a while, no longer gonna be something I can avoid by not reading the comments.
Every time Lady Gaga does something, I get like 500 people going OH MAN EVERYONE'S GONNA FUCKING LYNCH ME FOR SAYING THIS BUT I DONT LIKE [LATEST THING] OH MAN ALL THOSE RAVING GAGA FANS ARE GOING TO CUT MY FUCKING HEAD OFF FOR DARING TO BE NEGATIVE. I know it's just an issue of who/where I get my media/reactions from, but ugh it is so funny (annoying) (funny) to me to see ten times more people freaking about how HORRIBLY RABID THOSE GAGA FANS ARE GOD ALL I EVER HEAR IS HOW AMAZING SHE IS YOU CAN'T EVEN SAY SHE'S STUPID WITHOUT GETTING SHOT. IN. THE. STOMACH. than anyone saying anything good. (Also! LOL @ feministe for making up a bunch of bullshit "we're totally supposed to read the guards as trans, not butch" crap and debunking it. I C U trying to get people to stop linking you with "they can be kind of transphobic" disclaimers).
