1. If someone had asked Kevin if he thought Zac Efron would make a hot girl, he'd probably look at them like they were weird, 'cause that's a weird question, and say "no".

2. "So I just spent a year traveling back and forth across the country. And now I have a whole bunch of time to spend in one place. And you want me to spend more of that time than I have to...traveling."

3. Kevin has absolutely no idea what's going on – one minute he was trying to cheer Nick up with a story about this really cute armadillo he saw on tv, and he thought it was working 'cause Nick's face had gone from "I'm gonna burn holes in you with my eyes" to "I hope you can see just how much I hate you" (maybe he'd gotten it wrong and reversed the order? He had trouble with Nick's angry faces sometimes), and then all of a sudden Nick was growling at him to shut the Hell up and had him against the wall.

4. Half-listening to a conversation between Kevin and Michelle about whether some pair of pants would actually allow him to move without cutting off his circulation, Nick found himself wondering why Joe – who was usually completely incapable of letting off a joke until long after everyone else had stopped finding it even the littlest bit funny – hadn't made any Captain Tightpants comments about Kevin for a while.

I feel it's worth mention that the only complete BRMC album I had until a couple days ago was Baby 81 - the other two made the list on the strength of six songs each. So apparently I turned Flogging Molly off once or twice.

Def Leppard have released the video for C'Mon C'Mon. In case you've forgotten my flailing, this song is close to being the most perfect piece of aural candy ever released, bested only by Love and Candy In Your Hands. Lepp have really cornered the market on candy.

The video is just. Oh. SO MANY HEARTS. How can anything be wrong in the world when that video exists.

Interesting thing! In the event of a power surge, my bread machine sticks on whichever part of the cycle it was on when the power went fzzt...FOREVER. And the timer never turns itself back on. And this being only my second attempt with the machine and my first with this particular cycle, I didn't immediately notice a problem. By the time I did, it was just a routine omg that smells so good I shall look in check...and the dough was all...batter-esque. Because it had been mixing for...at least an hour. Whoops!

It actually turned out okay, though. Had to unplug the machine to turn it off, and when I replugged I just started the cycle over. Ended up with a concave loaf that's entirely too dense, but it actually worked for this particular flavor (cheese and herb). So...eh.

I am SO SICK OF POWER SURGES, though. At least now that I use a laptop it's less likely to interfere with my computering - but I keep all my multimedia on a separate drive, and oh what a laugh it is when that shuts off mid-song or mid-Torchwood-screencapping.

2. Do you have any guilty pleasure albums, and if so what are they?
Oh God every album I own is a guilty pleasure album. The entire Hanson discography! I have an unsettlingly large collection of techno music. Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus. Britney Spears' Blackout. Three or four BSB albums. Clay Aiken's A Thousand Different Ways. Going solely by what I wouldn't readily admit to owning, the entire Fall Out Boy discography, Panic! At the Disco's Fever You Can't Sweat Out, My Chemical Romance's Black Parade, plus a handful of stuff from Three Cheers. Oh! The piano tribute to My Chem.

3. Favourite thing to do on a day you have all to yourself?
Listen to my music without headphones and sing. Also, sleep. I take an unreasonable amount of joy from sleeping.

4. You can make a supergroup out of all the musicians in history: who do you pick, and what is on their tour rider?
My cop-out answer for this is Richie, David, and Tico. Cop-out because they all played without Jon on one of Richie's solo albums...but GOD, so good. Richie and David sharing writing and vocals evenly. Mmmmmmmm yeah that's delish.

That is a very good question! It depends when you met me. I don't think the vast majority of my "looks" imply 80s rock fan, but sometimes.

Favorite favorite Hysteria song. I dunno, I just like the mellower-but-still-bouncy stuff they do. Sometimes Joe's voice just makes me kinda die. This is one of those times! If someone pointed a gun at me and said YOU CAN ONLY LISTEN TO ONE DEF LEPPARD SONG EVER AGAIN CHOOSE IN FIVE SECONDS GO, this'd be the first one that came to mind. I'm not sure it'd still be my choice if I had more time to think, but it'd be close.

Stand Up (Kick Love Into Motion)
When I was first getting into Leppard, and listening to them exclusively, I didn't immediately realize how much I was falling in love with this song. It was only after I went back to regular rotation and this song came on amidst a bunch of random other stuff and my instant reaction was "OH FUCK YES", turning it up, and singing along when I hadn't even realized I'd known the words It hit me just how fucking much I love this song. Good goddamn, I love it. On a stairway to heaven, what a way to GOSTANDUP. Fuck yes.

From the Inside
Lepp's attempts to be serious and topical generally either make me giggle, or wonder why the Hell they started singing Christian rock (*cough*Cruise Control [sorry Viv]*cough*). But I love this one! I love when anyone uses atypical instruments and I love the mellow and I love how rough Joe's voice is and I love how deeply serious they really really are.

C'Mon C'Mon
I am TOTALLY NOT ASHAMED that my heart is easily won by cheesy fuck lyrics and stompy beats. THIS SONG. It is made for a) driving, as long as I'm on a straight fast stretch of highway and not likely to rear end anyone b) shower singing. It's entirely possible Sav composed this in the shower! And now I get to have that image EVERY TIME I LISTEN TO THIS. Which is a lot. I AM IN LOVE.

When Love And Hate Collide
I love me some ballads. And some piano. And Joe's "oh shit I can no longer sing high" voice. And yes <3

Love
I'm still entirely convinced this was Sav seeing if he could actually get Joe to say "no. No this is too corny and I cannot sing this with my dignity intact". But Joe's not giving in yet! And thank fuck. The backing vocals just make my little heart go pitter-patter. And when it gets all epic! Oh truly my life is complete.

I Wanna Be Your Hero
This is similar to Stand Up for me, except I knew the first time I listened to it I liked it. I know every time I'm scrolling by I like it. But it's not until I'm listening to it I remember how MUCH I like it. It's one of very few songs I actually like to hear Joe straining his voice to hit those way-high-up notes; usually it just makes me cringe with sympathy throat pains.

21st Century Sha La La Girl
I KNOW you guys. All the cheese and guilty pleasure songs. I KNOW. This is actually the very very first Leppard song I listened to for the sake of actually listening to Leppard, as opposed to, y'know, hearing Leppard music and not turning it off, or whatever. At least if I remember right. I think it was this, and then All Night. Another bouncy fun singy yay song.

Tonight
I didn't think I liked this song! After my first listen-through of all the albums I kept skipping it because I remembered not liking it. And then I went on a video downloading spree and decided to actually watch this video...and I have NO BLESSED IDEA where I got the idea I disliked this song because omg. I am so nuts sometimes, for serious. I do hate the video, but god. The verses! Yes.

Hysteria
I can listen to this over and over and over and over. I have, before - it's one of those songs that I'll almost certainly put on at least for a second listen before I'm ready to move on. I don't even really know why! I love the lyrics, and not even in the "lol so cheesy I love you" way, I legit like them. And the tempo, and the way Joe sings it, and...the whole mood, I guess. I love it.

Can't Keep Away From the Flame - I think if you look at all the top tens I've posted so far, that for the most part my favorites tend to be big pomp-and-circumstance overblown rock, and acoustic stuff. This is acoustic and mmmm. Like JBJ, I far prefer when Joe sings in a lower register (of course, squealy-screamy totally has its place) and this is just mmm. Nummy.

YAY CRACK

1. Housing is totally 100% squared away. I've got the cheap apartment, money for furniture, everything all set. Dad's starting the drive down either on the 12th or 13th with all my shit, Mom and I are flying down on the 14th. We're flying to Charlotte and spending the night, Dad's driving right through to Asheville to unload the car and then back up to Charlotte (his idea, whatever). Then we're heading to Asheville the morning of the 15th, going furniture shopping, spending the day putting together furniture and unpacking some, then bye-bye parents. On the way home they're gonna stop in NYC to go see David Hyde Pierce on Broadway (omg I so love David Hyde Pierce)in...I think the show's called "Curtains".

2. Money's not totally set yet. I got denied at VSAC, like I mentioned, so poo on them. I got approved for a loan from Chase but their interest sucks (fun fact: when I was wee[ish] I had no idea interest applied to anything other than my money in the bank so when I'd see an ad that said, like, "interest rates at an all time low!" I'd be all "Wtf, why is that good?"). But none of our other ideas will approve me, and the other one I applied for that hasn't denied me is still processing, so I'll probably end up with the Chase loan. I have enough student loans to pay off that an extra 2% interest on the smallest one doesn't make that huge a difference to me, whether it should or not.

3. Driver's test Tuesday. I think I'm actually ready, shock of all shocks. My mom's a horrible nervous passenger, and I drove with her yesterday and she was fine with me.

4. I can't unload this Leppard/Styx/Foreigner ticket. Which...eh. Part of me likes that, because now if something comes up at the last minute, I won't be all "Dammit, but I just sold my ticket!" *weeps*.
