Tomorrow there's no school in Barrington, so the Y offers all-day care for parents who don't want their kids home alone.

I'm working from 7-11:30 instead of 7-8:45. I'll catch a 12:00 bus downtown, a 12:30 bus back to the dorm, and have just enough time to get my shit together before I go back downtown at 1:20 for lunch/computer lab time/class.

Or I might stay downtown to have lunch, catch the 1:35 bus back to the dorm, and just go to class at 3:30.

Hm.

I have a website due tomorrow that I'll have to finish tonight so if I need a nap after my time with the little darlings I can take one and not worry about homework.

Funniest thing so far today: The hot dad saying "Regal Reptiles" (it's a class his son is taking in the mornings, he was telling us about it so we'd know when he had to leave). I managed to not laugh until he was out of the room.

K--- told me today she thought Bush was worse than Saddam Hussein. Awesome.

Actually slept through the night last night. Yay me. And I STILL need a nap. Double yay me.

I'm going to send Cindy at the Y a fruit basket.

She works in the actual Y, not off-site like me, and she isn't a child care person, but she's friends with Jen so I met her my first day and I see her in the mornings. She's a total sweetheart, and she's the one who noticed my Def Leppard shirt one day...said "I love your shirt," we talked a little, I mentioned Bon Jovi, she said "I like you more every second!"

Anyway, she's randomly been trying to get me more work. Mentioned to the woman at the front desk she should train me to do something-or-other since I'm there in the mornings anyway, but that didn't pan out.

But she found out they were looking for help in the fitness center so she gave them my name and I got a call today asking if I was interested in working Saturdays from 10-2. Also Sundays 6-noon, but I can't get to the Y any earlier than 6:30, and that's assuming I can find a ride from the dorm downtown since the 33 doesn't run until 8. I'd like to work both...stupid lack of independent means of travel.

Anyway. Extra hours, extra money. And working in another department means I'll have to attend extra meetings, and we get paid for attending meetings, so yay. And maybe we'll work it out and she'll let me do Sundays from 6:30-noon.

Now I just need to figure out if that'd give me enough hours to take classes for free.

Whee. Work.
