Life, etc.
Nov. 7th, 2006 08:51 pmWork today rocked. Extra hours, plus a bunch of kids I've never met.
There was one girl who was a total angel. A little clingy because she didn't have any friends there, but I loved it. Heh. She decided at one point to make me pretty by decorating my head...I had lacing and crayons and tissues and string and paper sticking out from under my hat. I'm sure it was lovely.
And there was a little girl, kindergarden or first grade, who was also fairly clingy and absolutely fucking precious.
It was lovely. Even if none of my favorite boys came. I think M------ was gonna come later in the day, but I missed him.
Plus, one of the other counselors lives in East Prov so she gave me a ride back to the dorm. I was home in 15 minutes instead of the hour it would've been if I'd had to wait for buses.
There's a mandatory floor meeting tonight at 10. How nice, scheduling something so late.
Okay, it's not that late, but...it is when you get up at 4 and have finally managed to get yourself going to bed at 9:30. In theory I could go find an RA and get myself excused but that would mean, well, finding an RA, and they like to make themselves scarce before meetings so people can't ditch out.
Oh well. I'll go shower now so I can go to the meeting in my pajamas and hop right into bed afterwards. Lovely.
