Seasonalness
Dec. 3rd, 2006 07:47 pmI have such a love/hate relationship with Christmas music.
I hoard it like crazy and I love when Christmas music season starts (although I hate when it starts before Thanksgiving, because come ON people) and I love listening to it...to a point.
And I never know where that point is, but all of a sudden instead of "yay Christmas"...it depresses me.
'S a weird season for me.
This year I think I'll actually have enough money to get everyone's presents. Which makes it the first year I'm not bumming money from the parents. Look, Ma, I'm growing up.
That also means braving the mall, because I have to get my brother's and sister's presents at Newbury Comics.
The mall during Christmas is way more of a mixed feeling thing for me than the music. But...eh. I have no blessed idea what to get the parents. Awesome.
Actually, the fact that I know what I'm getting three people and where to get them this early is amazing for me.
I have Christmas techno. Why.
Not too bad, though. If you're into that sort of thing. Which I am, so it works out.
Mp3s of almost every Bon Jovi song ever, if anyone's interested. I sure am.
I need to have a stern talk with one Mr. Richie Sambora. A hymn should not make me want to do unspeakable things to the singer, but his O Come All Ye Faithful is omg omg omg *dies*. So good.
The Tobi/Sav fic restarted itself randomly. Semi-randomly. Of course it didn't restart when I was in front of the computer all morning browsing Tobi's website, but when I was waiting for the bus to dinner and hadn't brought a notebook.
So now I'm scrambling to write down everything that hit me while I was at dinner/commuting. Well, not now. Five minutes ago. And about thirty seconds from now. But not right this second.
