Mm. Goodness.
May. 22nd, 2006 09:29 pmI shouldn't really have painted all my real-life friends with the same brush. Yeah, some people just don't get me (God, that's so emo/stereotypical teenager). But there are plenty who, whether they understand me or not, accept me for me and that means they take all those weird/annoying little quirks I have as part of the package.
I had a lovely afternoon with BB. She called me around 2:30 ish and asked if I wanted to go to Burlington. Which I did, because really I needed any excuse to not be with the friends who were the source of the last post (they WERE better last night, but not by a lot). We stopped at my house to pick up 7800 Fahrenheit and fucking blasted it and it was wonderful to know she wouldn't turn it off just because it's Bon Jovi. Went to Best Buy and got some movies (Perfect Man and Cry Wolf, for some mindless entertainment) and caught up with each other and it was wonderful. She lets me listen to Bon Jovi and blabber about Tico and David and how much Jon drives me nuts and she didn't care because it's just...me. I love BB.
Half hour after I got home Aunt Kathy called. She is such a wonderful person. Went to visit her condo, helped her move some furniture, finished off a bottle of wine she didn't like. She's so chill about stuff like me drinking and my brother getting high. It's nice, not because I'm just automatically drawn to anything that gets me drunk but because I appreciate being treated like an adult. She doesn't treat me like her kid niece, she treats me like her friend.
And now I'm off to either write or watch some new movies, or both. God, I needed a good day like this.
