Dec. 11th, 2006 05:02 amI'm feeling Christmasy. Thus...Christmasy things.
Marty Casey & the Lovehammers have a new Christmas song out. It's omgmazing.
Merry Christmas (All Year Long) at the iTunes store.
I'd link a download like I'm doing with the rest of these, but I actually (gasp) paid for the song, which means it's delightfully copy protected.
I love the logic that basically says "your reward for following the law is more rules!"
Yeah.
Anyway.
Christmas songs I can't get enough of this year:
I'll Be Home for Christmas - Twisted Sister f/ Lita Ford
Deck the Stills - Barenaked Ladies
There are actually three or four BNL Christmas songs I'm dying over. This is just my favorite favorite.
Backdoor Santa - Bon Jovi
R2-D2 We Wish You A Merry Christmas - John Bongiovi
O Come All Ye Faithful - Richie Sambora
The Chanukah Song - David Bryan
Okay the last one obviously isn't Christmas. But omg. His timing is off the whole time, it's a work of art.
I was in Bath & Body Works getting my Mom's birthday present (warm vanilla sugar shampoo, Hell yes) and JBJ's "Please Come Home for Christmas" came on. Whee. I got all excited.
Shopping is mostly done. I'm gonna pick up a little stuffed monkey in a JWU shirt to throw in the bag with the shampoo for Mom's birthday, and that's it. Wrapping is as done as it can be right now - I'm waiting for Dad's and Mom's presents to come in the mail, but everything I have on hand is wrapped.
Yay.
My Christmas decorations.
This is all stuff that belonged to my grandmother. My aunt got it when she died, and there's stuff she either couldn't or didn't want to use but she didn't want to throw it away because of the sentimental value, so I took some of it.

The village buildings are actually candles. Two of them are broken - the maroon post office was snapped in half, and the little steeple tower thing fell off the church. They're not stuck back together very securely now.

That tree lights up when there are batteries in it. I haven't bothered to buy batteries. I like it on its own.

This is the first thing I see when I walk in the room, and it's a surefire day brightener.
