Smoking and fanwanking (although to be fair, this latest round has been far less wanky than I expected, and far less than any other round) appear to be a symbiotic relationship; when I get to that point where I can't respond without hostility, I go for a cigarette before I reply. Which ends up with me smoking more, and fanwanking longer, since I'm not shutting down discussion with OMG UR STUPID.

People are talking about me today, soon I'll be able to tell people if they haven't heard of me, they must live in a cave.

(BTW, if you've been following OTW, John Scalzi's whole post is worth reading, as are the comments, which range from moronic to hilarious to rage-inducing to ingelligent)

Yes, I truly am an internet superstar. Will I make fandom_wank? TIME WILL TELL.

In other news, the nice thing about leaving tomorrow instead of yesterday: yesterday and today were in the high/mid-60s. Tomorrow's gonna be in the 40s. I would much rather leave from 40-degrees-and-raining than 65-and-sunny on my way to Blizzardtopia.

Heh, charmian@journalfen.net here. Just wanted to clarify that, for those who don't click on the link, I meant more that other people would wank about your post, not that you yourself were wanky in criticizing the attitudes of some of the OTW supporters.

(And sure enough, voila, wank appeared after I posted the first part of my post.)

(BTW, that you-live-in-a-cave person IIRC has been involved in previous wank, but I can't recall where.)
