Interesting thing! In the event of a power surge, my bread machine sticks on whichever part of the cycle it was on when the power went fzzt...FOREVER. And the timer never turns itself back on. And this being only my second attempt with the machine and my first with this particular cycle, I didn't immediately notice a problem. By the time I did, it was just a routine omg that smells so good I shall look in check...and the dough was all...batter-esque. Because it had been mixing for...at least an hour. Whoops!

It actually turned out okay, though. Had to unplug the machine to turn it off, and when I replugged I just started the cycle over. Ended up with a concave loaf that's entirely too dense, but it actually worked for this particular flavor (cheese and herb). So...eh.

I am SO SICK OF POWER SURGES, though. At least now that I use a laptop it's less likely to interfere with my computering - but I keep all my multimedia on a separate drive, and oh what a laugh it is when that shuts off mid-song or mid-Torchwood-screencapping.

[livejournal.com profile] purplejamish's questions, now that I think I've regained coherency after yet another OMGWANT-induced frothing over the idea of someday SOMEDAY Joe Elliott singing Candy In Your Hands.

1. What are the best three pet names ever?
Prettyhead, Snugglebear, Sugar Tits

2. Do you have any guilty pleasure albums, and if so what are they?
Oh God every album I own is a guilty pleasure album. The entire Hanson discography! I have an unsettlingly large collection of techno music. Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus. Britney Spears' Blackout. Three or four BSB albums. Clay Aiken's A Thousand Different Ways. Going solely by what I wouldn't readily admit to owning, the entire Fall Out Boy discography, Panic! At the Disco's Fever You Can't Sweat Out, My Chemical Romance's Black Parade, plus a handful of stuff from Three Cheers. Oh! The piano tribute to My Chem.

3. Favourite thing to do on a day you have all to yourself?
Listen to my music without headphones and sing. Also, sleep. I take an unreasonable amount of joy from sleeping.

4. You can make a supergroup out of all the musicians in history: who do you pick, and what is on their tour rider?
My cop-out answer for this is Richie, David, and Tico. Cop-out because they all played without Jon on one of Richie's solo albums...but GOD, so good. Richie and David sharing writing and vocals evenly. Mmmmmmmm yeah that's delish.

Better answer! Matt Hensley(accordion), Bob Schmidt(mandolin) and Bridget Regan(fiddle, tinwhistle) of Flogging Molly as the ~*~unique flavor~*~ section, Richie & Viv as guitarists (so sorry Phil! But Richie and Viv would just mesh SO WELL COME ON), David piano-ing, Tico and Nicko DUAL DRUMMING POWAH FUCK YEAH, and Sav on bass. Vocals go to whoever damn well wants them at the time (except possibly Matt and Nicko. I don't know what they sing like and thus cannot conclusively give my approval)! SPESHUL GUEST VOCALISTS JBJ, Joe Elliott, Sting, and Bruce Dickinson (OHMYGOD EVERYBODY. GAS MASKS. THE EGO. IT IS TOO GREAT. OIDVOIDJGLOIL *SUFFOCATES*).

Tour rider includes! A special provision wherein Sav is given no space on the stage and must play his bass from David's lap, except for several designated ~*~bouncy breaks~*~. A basket of kittens in each dressing room. Several implements of kinky bondageosity no one will own up to asking for, but Viv looks rather sheepish over there. David must have access to lawn ornaments and steak knives at all times, in case called upon to display his UTTER BADASSERY.

5. If I'd just met you, would I clock you instantly as an 80s rock fan?
That is a very good question! It depends when you met me. I don't think the vast majority of my "looks" imply 80s rock fan, but sometimes.

SAV'S FACE PRESSED UP TO THE GLASS ♥_♥ sorry

I like your answers! Your answers are FABULOUS! I too own Hanson's entire discography, apart from the new one (alas!), and ... everything Fall Out Boy and My Chem have done. I have no shame \o/

I particularly enjoy your use of "~*~bouncy breaks~*~" XD KITTENS. BADASSERY. I APPROVE SO HARD.

FSKDKLBIFND *FLAIL*

Shame is for the weak! Anytime I get asked the guilty pleasure question, I laugh, because YES. ALL OF IT. Most of the people I'm friends with *get* my taste in music, or at least get having a...different taste, but man, if someone on the street asked that there's a MASSIVE chance I could list the album the last song I was listening to is on and they'd be all OH YEAH TOTALLY, THAT IS HORRIBLE AND GUILTY. FUCK YES. I like Winger for the love of God.

It would be inhumane to deprive the people of Sav's bouncy-twitchy-prancy concert behavior. HOWEVER I have glimpsed into the future and the kittens are no longer included in the rider by the second tour - probably because watching Sav and David frolic with kittens pre-show IS NOT CONDUCIVE TO FOCUSING.

Power surges? They happen that often? That's a bit scary.

Fairly frequent, yeah, but I know what's causing it (musicians upstairs - recording an album in an apartment that doesn't have enough outlets for me with a fairly average number of pluggy-in things...yeah) so I suppose it's never occurred to me to find it scary, lol.
