Ugh I remember now why I wasn't focusing my writing energies on anything postable. Has my writing gotten that bad it's not worth taking a chance on anymore?

Go for it. Don't listen to the voice of doubt. Tell it to go fuck itself sideways with a jackhammer and have fun with it.

Trufax - for whatever reason (or no real reason at all), virtually no one is reading stories on Rockfic these days (and fewer still bother to comment). The last batch of even little *drabbles* I posted last month took forever to get one or two comments -- and for the first time ever, a couple *still* have gotten no comments at all. Granted, some of those folks who used to comment there now are when I post to my lj, so...I dunno. I feel like I keep posting there just to keep my "collection" complete ('cause I hate lj like a thousand burning suns as an actual archive), but not for the feedback anymore...

(And yeah, I'm as guilty as most other folks about not commenting/reading much myself lately. It's been on my list to get to once things settle down...but that's along with a lot of other things, so I'm probably not one to talk.)

Forgive me for this - I just stumbled across this post (while bored).

I find that, with my own writing, I only get comments on it if it's "in" at some point. But I still write because it gives me something to do, and occassionally something to talk about when I find people in the same fandoms.

Of course, I think all my writing is pretty bad. But it's worth doing for those few times when someone stumbles on it and likes it for whatever reason. Even if those times are months after you've posted something.

I don't know if this is any help, but I hope it is a little.
