I'd feel a little better about it if they had left any room for doubt that THIS IS THE CORRECT DEFINITION, so fuck you all. That they included space for the terminology debate would make me happy - if they had even implied the resolution was anything other than HA HA YOU FUCKERS ARE WRONG. Especially since I'd been going along under the impression the resolution was "hey, everyone use it how you want and let's all stop being assholes".

(And yes, wiki, anyone can edit, blah blah blah. There are still issues of feeling welcome and as if your viewpoint has a place)

I just did an interview about bandfic over the phone and OHGOD why did I agree to the phone. I hate the phoooooone.

(it wasn't that bad. Short, and I probably spent much more time flailing just before and just after and getting all anxious than it warranted. but still. phone.)

I think I managed not to sound like a babbling ass, though, so yay.

The timing was spiff - I'd just come in from my OMGPHONEOHGODIMUSTRELAX smoke break, fed and watered the kitties, and put water on for tea when the phone rang...so I could fidget with kitcheny things and have something to do during the he-can-only-write-so-fast pauses. And I have a nice cup of tea to unwind with.

I didn't get in a mention of the Prompt Machine *fails at pimping*...I had a good chance, too...I can e-mail him, haha.

In other news...there is no other news. lol. I think I'm gonna be all done with classes December 6...and I don't fly out until the 13th. Maybe I can have Dad refiddle my flight.

Also, how fucking pompous is OTW? There has to be a point at which more than just us malcontent bandficcers realize it's really just porn for egocentric acafans. OMG THE SOUND OF MY OWN TYPING AS I WRITE BRILLIANCE *FAPFAPFAP*.

I was hesitant about the Archive of Our Own stuff from the beginning. Aside from the fact that I really don't see a need for another archive for myself to use - I have RockFic, and

hectorfic, and those are plenty good enough for me - it seemed right from the get-go like a bloated, overambitious, doomed-to-fail vanity project.

( My opinion mellowed a bit over time. )
